User Profile Guide

The client.user service provides access to MyAnimeList user profile information and user-level anime statistics.

API Reference

These methods interact with the official MyAnimeList User Endpoints.

Fetching Authenticated User Profile​

To retrieve the currently authenticated user's profile, call getUserDetails with the default username "@me":

Note

As of the current MyAnimeList API v2 implementation, only the authenticated user profile ("@me") is supported by the MyAnimeList backend for this endpoint.

Available User Fields​

When fetching user profile details, you can request specific fields using UserField:

  • UserField.ID: Unique user ID.
  • UserField.NAME: Account username.
  • UserField.PICTURE: Profile avatar image URL.
  • UserField.GENDER: Gender string.
  • UserField.BIRTHDAY: Birthday string.
  • UserField.LOCATION: User location setting.
  • UserField.JOINED_AT: Account registration timestamp.
  • UserField.ANIME_STATISTICS: Breakdown of anime statistics (days watched, mean score, completed count, etc.).
  • UserField.TIME_ZONE: Configured time zone.
  • UserField.IS_SUPPORTER: Boolean flag indicating MAL supporter status.
